"Only my condemnation.."

Only my condemnation injures me.

~ ACIM Lesson 198

I like this lesson for the straightforward approach at establishing where the cause of injury is -- our mind. I find myself using it anytime I feel inclined to indulge in fear, grief, or pain. "The way I'm perceiving this is the cause of my problems."

There are other understandings that can be gleaned from the lesson title. Can you see the different meanings that are conveyed by different emphasis and verbal patterns?

Different emphases:

Only my condemnation injures me.

Only my condemnation injures me.

Only my condemnation injures me.

Only my condemnation injures me.

Only my condemnation injures me.

Only my condemnation injures me.

Added punctuation:

Only, my condemnation injures me. (My condemnation injures me only.)

My condemnation injures me only.

My condemnation injures me only.

Just for fun:

Only, my condemnation, injures me. (My condemnation's name is Only.)

only my condemnation injures me
